Those in the manufacturing industry are familiar with the importance of being ISO certified, but sometimes even people within manufacturing and other lines of business aren’t clear on what that certification means and why it’s important.
We’re proud to be ISO 9001:2008 certified because this proves we have met a valuable set of standards established by ISO, the Switzerland-based independent, non-governmental international organization. These standards are the guarantee that we are able to meet both customer and statutory and regulatory requirements.
Our certification also shows our dedication to continual improvement. While there are a number of different ISO standards, ISO 9001:2008 involves broad reaching issues to be addressed before achieving certification. This includes management, customer focus, quality, work environment, purchasing, monitoring and other aspects of business.
We received our initial certification in 1995 and we go through regular internal audits to improve our systems and ensure we are ready for our next recertification audit.
